AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH (AIT)

AIT Austrian Institute of Technology is Austria's largest nonuniversity research institute, specialist on research and development activities of technologies, techniques and tools of future key infrastructure solutions. In its research, the Center for Technology Experience focuses on interaction and experience factors, gender-aware and meaningful HCI and has vast experience in designing, developing and validating technologies in the areas of health and care. Subjectively perceived experiences are researched with a focus on personal barriers, attitudes, values, social situations and enhance people's possibilities to move, travel and experience the environment they live in. With DemiCare+, AIT continues its efforts to develop digital support tools for informal caregivers, but also builds on its experience in the areas of stress measurement and resilience trainings.

Romanian Alzheimer Society (RAS)

AIT Romanian Society for Support of Elderly and Sufferers with Alzheimer's Disease (Romanian Alzheimer Society - RAS), is a non-governmental, non-profit, humanitarian organization. RAS works in the community and provides social and medical assistance to the people affected by neurocognitive disorders. RAS’s goals are to intervene directly at the community level, mediating the relationship between patient-family-society and to create modern systems of care and assistance for the elderly with mental disorders, especially neurodegenerative types. In its 24 years of functioning, RAS has implemented multiple projects in the field of caregiver information and education, early diagnosis, and interventions at the community level. With DemiCare+, RAS continues its efforts to develop effective interventions for supporting dementia caregivers to increase their wellbeing and prevent depression through psychological and art-based approaches.

Geriatrische Gesundheitszentren der Stadt Graz (GGZ)

The Geriatric Health Centres of the City of Graz (GGZ) are a non-profit organization and a competence center for geriatric medicine and nursing. The GGZ comprises two clinics, a hospice, four nursing homes, two daycare centers as well as three assisted living facilities. In total, we care for about 800 patients and elderly people a year. GGZ R&D department, the Albert Schweitzer Institute for Geriatrics and Gerontology (ASIGG) focuses on the research topics digital health, health promotion and prevention in older age, dementia and public health and regularly involves its patients, residents and caregivers in these projects. ASIGG has been involved in numerous research national and international projects in the past years supporting the digital transformation in formal and informal care and medicine. The GGZ also operate a training center for informal caregivers and offer different training courses to support them in their practical tasks in caregiving and reduce their physical and psychological burden.

MEDrecord (MED)

MEDrecord is a leading Dutch SME specialized in secure, interoperable health IT solutions. As a certified digital health platform, MEDrecord facilitates the integration of patient data across mobile devices, clinical systems, and wearables to improve care coordination and support personalized health services. The company brings deep expertise in healthcare interoperability, data privacy and the development of AIpowered tools for patient engagement and monitoring. In DemiCare+, MEDrecord serves as the main technical partner, leading the WP4: Service Integration. Within the project, MEDrecord is responsible for the development and integration of the technical infrastructure, including the backend system, APIs for interoperability with health services, and the deployment of AI-powered tools such as a motivational chatbot and personalized care plans. These components are essential for delivering a seamless, user-friendly, and scalable digital solution that supports informal caregivers of people with dementia and prevents the onset of depression.

Centrul National de Sanatate Mintala si Lupta Antidrog (NMH)

Centrul Național de Sănătate Mintală și Luptă Antidrog (NMH) is a public institution under the Romanian Ministry of Health, responsible for coordinating, implementing, and evaluating national mental health policies. It supports the development of mental health services through technical assistance, professional training, dissemination of clinical guidelines, and service quality monitoring. Key responsibilities include managing the National Psychiatry Register, developing digital tools for the sector, collecting and analyzing mental health data, and coordinating the National Mental Health Program. NMH also oversees medical counseling for individuals with substance use disorders and authorizes training programs in the field of addictions. Within Demicare+ project, NMH is involved in both stakeholder engagement and dissemination activities. As part of a multinational planning group, NMH helps adapt the intervention to the national context and supports the design of implementation strategies through regular meetings. NMH also contributes to spreading project results via events, publications, and partnerships with mental health and cognitive impairment organizations.

Asociația Română de Terapie Comportamentală și Cognitivă (ART)

The Romanian Association for Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (ARTCC) is a non-profit organization founded in 2000, with the mission to promote and develop cognitive and behavioral therapies (CBT) in Romania. ARTCC supports the application of CBT in all areas where it can bring meaningful benefits—clinical, educational, organizational, and community—while aligning with international standards of best practice and professional ethics. As a full member of the European Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies (EABCT), ARTCC is committed to upholding the highest European standards in professional training, supervision, and clinical practice.

Vilans (VIL)

Vilans is a national organization specializing in knowledge management for healthcare and support. Vilans provides innovative and practice-oriented knowledge and is in close contact with the field. The goal of Vilans is meaningful and affordable care of good quality, to ensure that people with long-term care needs can live the life they wish. Vilans attributes to that goal by sharing knowledge and putting the lives of people at the heart of all activities. The knowledge provided by Vilans is attainable, understandable and applicable for non-healthcare professionals and healthcare professionals. Together with partners Vilans develops and spread knowledge about the use of technology in care and support. Within DemiCare+ Vilans is workpackage leader of WP3 and responsible for the service design and co-creation of the overall service concept and interaction design.

EURAG Österreich (EUR)

AIT EURAG Austria is a non profit seniors organisation and the local platform of the umbrella organization EURAG Europe. The umbrella organization has represented the interests of older people in 34 countries for more than 30 years and has consultative status in the United Nations NGO Committee on Ageing. EURAG Austria is a non-political, non-denominational and non-profit organization that campaigns for the interests of the older generation. With its local and European projects, it aims to combat age discrimination and promote the physical and mental health of the older population in order to ensure quality of life in old age.

The Austrian platform works closely with universities and care institutions, federal and local governments and the media and therefore has access to research and development of new strategies and technologies that contribute to better ageing.

    EURAG Austria focuses on

  • - maintaining solidarity between the generations
  • - supporting the older generation with modern technology
  • - preventing discrimination and exclusion of older people.

Within the Demicare+ project, EURAG acts as an enduser organisation and is responsible for gathering user requirements and the execution of lab and field trials.
