In the early stages of dementia, the pleasure of the written word can be enjoyable. Listening to audio books can help close the gap for those having trouble reading. Try to find books or podcasts without too many twists and turns. Radio shows can be a nice, as they are made for people turning on and of the radio, thereby made to entertain listeners not following along meticulously. If you know of any radio shows or radio hosts the person with dementia enjoys, have a look online if it has been turned into a podcast. In that case you can put it on whenever it is appropriate.
Co-designing the DemiCare+ health plan with informal caregivers
On June 3rd and 4th, the DemiCare+ project took a meaningful step forward in shaping its new health plan inside the Coachi app by engaging directly with those who know caregiving best: informal caregivers.
Thoughtfully structured sessions
Through a series of three co-design sessions (1.5 hours each) held in
