There are many opportunities out in the community to find activities and meet other people at the same time. This can be at a place of worship, an art gallery, museum, concert hall or theatre, a community group, leisure centre or at the local pub. Some community venues organise events or activities developed for and with people with dementia. What matters is finding something that has meaning for the person with dementia that they enjoy. Research available venues and events in your community by calling them or asking your patient organisation for advice.
